What is Wearable Computing?
To summarize Dr. Steven Mann's definition of a wearable computer:
A small body worn computing device that is subsumed into the user's personal space. Such a device would allow for continual and untethered use and operation by the user for any desired computing application.
What Wearable Computing is not
Wearable computing is not PDAs, laptops, digital watches, etc - each of these devices fail to integrate into the user's personal space, allow for unobtrusive mobile use, or do not provide a programmable general computing platform.
